I know, it’s been an age since I posted, hasn’t it? Sorry about that but unfortunately I had external forces (I’ve been off sick) meaning I wasn’t at my keyboard much. Never fear, I’m back.
Having said that, I don’t have a great deal to update you on right now. I’m in that funk we writers suffer from every so often, aka crippling self-doubt about my ability to actually write. It means that what I’d hoped might be my next book (still tentatively entitled Glass Onion, despite the film stealing my thunder) has gone on a back burner, though I have made some changes to the ending, and I’m returning to my bikers/skaters book, and fighting through the feeling that everything I do is useless.
In other news, Has The Lady Been Yet? hasn’t picked up much I the way of coverage or reviews unfortunately, and my latest batch of magazine submissions has proved unsuccessful. I think the adjustment to being back in work full time has hit me a little more than I expected, as all that wonderful thinking/reading time I’d had for the last few months has vanished in a puff of smoke, and the pull of the instant gratification of TV/ Music/ Football Manager has outweighed the long game pleasure of having another book out and being read. I shall continue to power through with the latest updates to the Bikers book (still missing a final title) and try and get my Mojo back.
