So, next set of concept proofs back, based on my initial shortlist, and my first conversation over the designer about them. All going really well. As I’ve mentioned before, it’s always difficult trying to separate what I’d like myself, and what a potential audience might find appealing to buy, and the latter obviously wins every time, as that’s the purpose. Hence I’ve called on a couple of friends to let me know their thoughts on the updates as well.
The next stage is refinement. The one I have here I like the idea of, but as I’m a fussy sod, I don’t want a yellow (too similar to The Raven Sound), not keep on the speech bubble around the title, which I’d ideally like a bit bigger, and can’t make my mind up on the font. This is only one of five sent for my consideration, and I like some of the others a bit more, with not quite such a plain background, and I think I’ll pump for one of them. There’s also one with a larger phone I like that is being developed, but I’ll save posting those until I get the revised versions.
So quite a short post this time, but just to keep you invested in the process, so you can see the several stages and back and forth, until we come up with a version we’re both happy with. Naturally, I have the final say, but I have enough sense to know that if a design professional doesn’t think something works, I’d be an idiot to ignore that!
