The next book is almost ready, with the final line edit nearing completion, and a release date for the beginning of December. It’s a very personal project for me, regarding my time looking after Mum, and her loss, and how it affected me. But I’m equally hoping that the content might strike a chord with, and help, other people too.
These were the two drivers for writing the book, which might be best described as a memoir, as a cathartic exploration of what happened and how it made me feel, but also to try and give some insight to other people who either experience the dementia of a parent, who or who know people in that situation.
I’m currently looking at the dementia support services, and trying to see if any of them might be interested in using any of it. This isn’t a money-making project for me, and I’m hoping there might be some way of sharing the content, or at least of promoting the fact it would be free for people on Kindle Unlimited, and via libraries.
I’m very excited, if apprehensive, about this project, and hope it can help some people.
Stay safe,
Kit
