So Much Going On!

So, where do I start? Brief hiatus on the formatting blogposts, but don’t worry, I haven’t stopped and they’ll carry on appearing very soon. The thing is, I’ve suddenly been inundated with “things”. As you’ll have seen from my most recent post, I have the updated cover for Man In The Bath, which I love, but at the same time the final proofing came in for tEXt me (my proofer is amazing), and I needed to get on with the serious work of corrections and formatting, as I’m hoping for a November release, and all of a sudden you’re in to updating ISBNs, Amazon listings, and then immediately on to sending out for pre-release reviews (the lead time understandably so long for some of these I want to get them sent out asap.

There’s also that thing they call life, but we won’t go there. Some very useful tips I’ll put in now I’ve finally managed to get my head round editing and colouring in pdf cover files, without the need for flood fill (don’t ask, I’ll get it it in a future post). The good news for those wanting more formatting advice, it is very much at the forefront of my mind.

I also had an amazing idea for a new short story, so in between those things I’ve done the first cople of thousand words. “Short” story may not end up being a good description.

Once this all dies down a bit, I think this site could do with a bit of a redesign too. Yes, I know you agree. “Tired” is a bit cruel, but okay, I’ll take that on the chin. Longer, less frequent posts seem to be more popular too, so I’ll bear that in mind, plus I should probably have something more about what is actually available out there.

Okay, I’m procrastinating, and you don’t care, but I like justifying myself 🙂 I had a letter from the British Library this week too, reminding me to send them copies of my novels. That made me happy.

Anyway, back to the night job. More formatting posts soon, cross my heart.

Stay safe,

Kit
