Reviews

Oh wow, I’m so pleased to report two lovely sites have reviewed my novels. As an indie author it is so difficult to get your work reviewed, as there is so much competition, and bloggers and reviewers are overwhelmed with submissions, but it just lifts your spirits so much when someone has both taken the time to read, and to write up their thoughts. It’s even better if they like what they read 🙂

Liverpool Sound and Vision have given me a great write-up for The Raven Sound and Brown Flopsy’s Book Burrow have given a lovely review of Man in the Bath. Please have a read of both websites, as they’re great (in addition to reviewing me) and if you want to find new things to read, watch or listen, they’re great places to keep an eye on.

And I have to agree with the latter about my main character, Dr David Dunn. He’s a total git and I don’t like him much either! It’s unfortunate that my first two novels both feature pretty unlikeable male main characters, but I’m hoping to change that with tEXt me, the next. On the first draft I again found the lead to be quite offputting, though at least I liked the supporting cast, but I’ve made a real effort to understand Tiffany better, and make sure her side of the story comes across in a better light. She deserves that as she’s actually a lovely person!

I’ve mentioned before, but I’m very much in love with my lead for one of my partially written books, and I may return to Jennifer after this one, as it would be nice to forefront a wholly lovely main character, plus I get to invent new folklore, which I love doing.

But for now, thank you kind reviewers, and if anyone else might want or be willing to give a review, I’d be happy to send you an electronic opy. Just drop me a line on the contact page.

Stay safe,

Kit
